HIPAAComplete primary features,
includes document tracking

The HIPAA laws require many documents be generated and kept. HIPAAComplete tracks the data for you, and generates policies and other documents required by law. A history of at least six years, as required by law, is kept for key documents. Storing them in HIPAAComplete makes it easy to turn over your compliance efforts to new staff members, run reports to gauge compliance, and receive alerts if there are missing documents. Some examples of features and related documents that are generated, stored, and tracked:
Business associate agreement (BAA), date signed and expiring

Employee yearly mandatory HIPAA training history

BAA yearly mini-audits

Customized Dashboards

View key compliance metrics on a dashboard, customizable for various levels of the organization. C-Suite can see summary of activity and alerts, while other managers and staff can view detailed statistics. Each facility can have its own dashboard, with all the data aggregated at higher levels of the organization.

Business Continuity Plan (BCP)

An important component of the Risk Analysis is the Business Continuity Plan (BCP). The standard BCP generated by HIPAAComplete is at least 58 pages long, with details about how to respond to most emergencies, and associated risks determined by the facility locations and your specialty. Advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning automates the risk determination, greatly reducing the amount of time to develop the document.

BAA tracking and review

The revised HIPAA laws with the Omnibus rule in 2013 requires organizations to properly assess their partner’s HIPAA compliance at a high level. HIPAAComplete automates the process by sending out a yearly email with questionnaire including questions and required uploads to confirm HIPAA compliance. The dashboard and reports let you know your BAA’s HIPAA compliance stance and if any pose a threat to your security.

Risk Analysis

One of the most dangerous and common threats to PHI are cybersecurity related threats. Most organizations have deployed basic defenses such as firewalls, anti-malware, and virus protection, but not the more recent cybersecurity tools such as PEN testing and vulnerability scanning. HIPAAComplete has incorporated at no extra charge powerful, open-source tools that deliver their results in the portal and results are included in the Risk Analysis and other reports for your IT staff to mitigate. The tools are automated in a manner that you can implement the security without specialized cybersecurity staff.
